Wilton Foundry was founded by Robbie de Villiers in 2003. Wilton produces and releases creative, relevant and commercially viable fonts. Robbie has a passion for calligraphy and loves designing fonts. Years ago he read an article in U&lc magazine about a reading and comprehension test made with Times New Roman, Gill Regular and Helvetica. This, combined with his love of calligraphy, caused him to seriously focus on the power of type and its role in design and human communication. Robbie considers it a privilege designing fonts that ultimately are the messengers of small and large thoughts that can stir emotions and stimulate creativity.
