ART PARTS - END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT
A NOTE FROM RON AND JOE IN TINY TYPE, BUT PLAIN ENGLISH
Many of you probably think that Art Parts is a big company with lots of employees and bags o' money. We only wish this were true (at least the bags o' money part). But, alas, we're just a couple of guys trying to scratch out a living doing something we enjoy. Ergo, this missive (and all the legalese below) is meant to protect what we, Ron and Joe, do have (i.e. our ideas and hard work). Here's the rub: Art Parts have been created, and are licensed to you, for use in newsletters, brochures, catalogs, ads, editorial, web sites (in low-res form only, visitors may NOT download), and other such communication materials. Art Parts are not meant, nor are they licensed to you, for use in a manner where they are any aspect of an item for resale, in electronic or other form.
For instance, use of Art Parts on a T-shirt, coffee mug, greeting card, rubber stamp, or whatever, created for retail or mail order sale is a no no. Our reasoning? If someone buys a T-shirt with an Art Part on it, they are buying the T-shirt because of the Art Part. The Art Part is creating, or contributing to, the value of the item being sold. This is not to say, that we, Ron and Joe, aren't interested in the possible licensing of our images for use in various and exciting ways. We're not nearly as dumb as we look. So, if you have an idea, give us a holler. We're all ears.
